A woman was hit by a car and left to die in a northwest Houston park Monday, Houston police said.
The victim's body was found in the parking lot of T.C. Jester Park, 4205 T.C. Jester Blvd. at Saxon Drive, at 3 a.m.
Detectives said her body was several feet away from her shoes and other belongings. They also found skid marks at the scene.
"Based on what we gathered at this point, (it) looks like it could be some type of domestic incident, interpersonal violence. They knew each other -- that's always a possibility. It doesn't look random," HPD Detective Bart Nabors said.
Police said they're looking for 29-year-old Jessie Blanco. He's considered a person of interest in the case, but officials have not said how he and the victim are connected. He has a criminal history that includes convictions for assaulting a family member and theft.
Detectives said they're looking for the car Blanco was last seen driving -- a white Pontiac Vibe that may have some front-end damage.
Investigators said they are looking at footage captured by a nearby home security system to see if anything was caught on camera.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
