Oct. 10, 2012: Two people are shot during an argument at an apartment complex in north Houston, police say.

HOUSTON -

Two people were shot in an argument at an apartment complex in north Houston, police said.

Houston police said they were called out to the Ventana Garden Apartments on the North Freeway near East Burress shortly after midnight Wednesday.

Detectives said Charlie Fairfax got into an argument with a woman and started shooting.

"Officers arrived on the scene and found one suspect with a gun shot wound to his leg, also holding the weapon," said Officer Adrian Conejo. "He dropped the weapon when he saw the officers."

Police took the gun and several casings in as evidence.

Detectives said another man, Jerman Susberry, was wounded in the crossfire. He is expected to be OK.

"Later we received word that there was another victim inside an apartment close by, said Conejo. "We did check and found another victim there with a gunshot wound to his arm."
