HCSO: 61-year-old shoots man during argument in northwest Harris County

Feb. 14, 2013: Deputies are searching for a 61-year-old man who shot a 56-year-old man during an argument. Camille Williams reports.

HOUSTON -

A 61-year-old man shot a 56-year-old man in northwest Harris County, investigators said.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said the 61-year-old man argued with his 56-year-old in the 8900 block of Hufsmith Kuykendahl Road near Dogwood Drive about 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Detectives said the 61-year-old man pulled out a handgun and shot the 56-year-old man.

The victim was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical but stable condition.

The shooter got away in a dark red or maroon over white dually pickup truck, detectives said. He was last seen wearing a light-colored western shirt, blue jeans and a white cowboy hat.

Investigators have not said what the men were arguing about.
