HOUSTON -

While football fans from around the country are watching, a former New Orleanian is cheering from Houston.

For the 10th time in Super Bowl history, the spotlight rested on New Orleans Sunday.

Lakesha Reed, originally from New Orleans, owns a New Orleans style Cajun food restaurant in the 3100 block of Old Spanish Trail.

"It's just great for the city. Everybody's proud to call it home, proud to be out (and) show America what our city is like," said Reed.

Reed calls Cajun food a fitting compliment for football's grand finale, whether on Bourbon Street or in the Bayou City.

"It's more like a party. You're at home, getting ready for a house party. It's kind of how we treat it with all your friends," said Reed.
