Another local talent has breezed through the blind auditions on NBC's hit show "The Voice."
Sugar Land's Savannah Berry wowed the judges and had three of them vying for a chance to coach her to victory at the end of the season.
During the show, nearly 100 of Berry's family, closest friends, and supporters packed the Bee's Creek Grill in Missouri City to cheer her on with a watch party.
The group included her proud mother Shelly, who says she knew Berry was meant for the big time when she sang in front of her elementary school when she was in kindergarten.
"It's amazing," said Shelly. "We're so thankful for all the friends and family that come out to support Savannah over the years who have always been here."
Berry had no problems performing on a national stage. She's been singing live in the Houston area and across the state at churches, rodeos, sporting events and clubs for almost 10 years now.
Berry wasn't at her watch party last night because she in Los Angles, but the crowd called her twice and gave her a group "Hello" over her mother's cell phone.
In the end, Berry chose Team Blake. You may recall Danielle Bradbery of Cypress made the same choice last week when she also impressed three of the judges. The young ladies know each and say they are friends.
