A woman is recovering after driving her pickup truck into a bayou in southwest Houston on Monday afternoon.

The woman said she swerved to miss a man who was running across North Braeswood near Mullins Drive. She lost control on the slick street and drove into the water.

A person on a bicycle stopped to help the driver before Houston firefighters arrived.

Fire crews pulled the woman out of the water.

She was taken to the hospital with some bumps, bruises and mild shock. She is expected to be OK.
