HOUSTON -

A car flipped and crashed into a home in northeast Harris County Thursday.

Deputies said a man was driving a Mustang on Airline Drive at 11 p.m. Wednesday when he accidentally cut off another car.  The driver of that car suddenly turned around and started chasing him down the street, according to authorities.

Fearing for his safety, the man sped down Hollyvale Drive, officials said.  Around Sellers Road, his car hit a bump and went airborne.  The driver lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a ditch, then flipped over and slammed into the carport of a house.

The driver was taken to a hospital in stable condition.  His name has not been released.

No one else was injured in the crash.
