Boy, 10, hit by car crossing street
A 10-year-old boy was hit by a car Wednesday as he walked across the street to catch his school bus in northeast Houston.
Houston police said the accident happened in the 11600 block of Woodforest Boulevard near John Ralston shortly before 8 a.m.
Investigators said the car's driver did not see the boy crossing the street and the car ran over the boy's foot. He was also hit by the vehicle's bumper.
Officials said the school bus did not have its hazard lights on.
The boy was taken to Eastside Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
No citations were issued in connection with the crash.
