Sept. 17, 2012: Investigators are searching for four men who broke into a Fort Bend County home and tied up four people. Nefertiti Jaquez reports.

Four people were tied up during a home invasion near Sugar Land early Monday.

Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said four men broke into a home in the 9600 block of Weldridge Drive in the Kingsbridge Place subdivision and held four adults at gunpoint.

"My husband was coming back from work," said one of the female victims, who did not want to be identified. "He opened the door and they barged in with him."

Deputies got a call for help at about 12:30 a.m. They went to the home and found the group had been tied up and one of the victims had suffered a head injury, investigators said.

"They took my husband in the room and beat him pretty badly," said the woman. "They hit the back of the gun on his head. His whole face was covered in blood. His arms had blood."

Two children were also inside the home and were not hurt, officials said.

The robbers ransacked the home and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, detectives said.

"They were looking everywhere," the woman said. "They even opened my freezer. They even went in the attic thinking we'd have money stashed away over there."

The woman said she thinks that the robbers followed her husband home from work and knew he would bring home his store's earnings sometimes.

"They told him literally that they had been watching him the past three months," the woman said.

The victims said their attackers spoke Spanish and wore black pants, black shirts, gloves and ski masks. Some of the shirts had the word "NARCOTICS" on the back, officials said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
