3 wanted in purse thefts

Police are looking for three people accused of stealing more than $1,000 in purses from department stores on Houston's west side.

HOUSTON -

Police are looking for three people accused of more than six purse thefts at department stores on Houston's west side.

The thieves have targeted TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores and stolen Michael Kors and Burberry purses.

In six days, the thieves stole 10 handbags worth more than $1,000. According to court documents, the thieves were spotted removing alarms and stuffing the purses underneath their clothes.

The three will face charges of engaging in organized criminal activity.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS.
