There was a lot of police activity around Lone Star College's North Harris campus on Wednesday.
Harris County Precinct 4 deputy constables said they were searching for a suspicious man near the Woodcreek subdivision, which is across from the campus on W.W. Thorne near Aldine Westfield, about 10 a.m.
Residents called deputy constables after seeing three men looking into windows at area homes.
When detectives arrived, the group was spotted in the 20600 block of Harvest Hill. Two of the men were taken into custody but the third ran away, investigators said.
A K-9 tracked the third suspect into a wooded area between the neighborhood and Lone Star College. Investigators said the suspect refused to lay down, as a deputy constable ordered him to, and tried to grab the K-9's nose. The dog then bit the suspect and the suspect surrendered, investigators said.
The college was not placed on lockdown during the search.
The Aldine Independent School District said none of its campuses were locked down.
Investigators said the trio won't be charged with burglary because they didn't break into any homes. The man who ran from deputy constables will face a charge of evading arrest.
