The lockdown and shelter-in-place at two Sheldon ISD schools have been lifted.

Shortly after 10am Tuesday, Stephanie Cravens Early Childhood Academy was placed on lockdown and Monahan Elementary School was sheltering in place. due to police activity in the area.

The Harris County Precinct 3 Constable's Office told us it all started with a domestic disturbance between a man and a woman at a nearby residence on Peppergate. Deputies say the two were living together and have a child. They say the two got into an argument when she slapped him, he slapped her, the she stabbed him.

The man, deputy constables say, then hit the child and fled the scene.

Precinct 3 says the man is not armed, but authorities issued the lockdown and shelter-in-place as a precaution. Both were lifted shortly after noon.

The man has still not been found, Precinct 3 told us.
