Two Beaumont men have been arrested for a burglary at a Winnie building.
The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office said authorities were called to an alarm call at Fortress Storm Shelter on October 5.
While on the way to the scene, a deputy saw a gray Dodge Charger traveling on the north service road of Interstate 10. The deputy turned around and pulled the vehicle over for a traffic stop.
The two men in the car, 31-year-old Jamie Brown and 20-year-old Patrick Trahan, were questioned by the deputy who found tools commonly used in burglaries and a sheetrock powder type substance on Brown’s arm and Trahan’s leg.
Upon further investigation, officials determined that the two were involved in the burglary.
The men were arrested and transported to the Chambers County Jail.
They are charged with burglary of building and each have a $20,000 bond.
