HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -

Two suspects have been arrested and a third one is on the run in a kidnapping case from earlier this month.

Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators say Michael Atkins, Ronald Allen Baylis and Thomas Warnell posed as a woman on Facebook and lured a 24-year-old male victim to a residence in the 6300 block of Glenhagen for the promise of drugs and sex.

When the victim arrived, he was told to wait in the garage. Then the three suspects came out and told the victim they were Harris County sheriff's deputies and a U.S. marshal, even though they carried no badges or identification as proof.

Deputies say the suspects then told the victim they would let him go if they paid him.

According to the sheriff's office, the suspects drove the victim in his own vehicle to his residence. Then they allegedly forced the victim to give them a laptop computer and cash.

The suspects then took the victim's vehicle and fled.

On March 19, deputies say Atkins was involved in a minor vehicle accident while driving the stolen car. He was taken into custody and investigators say he identified the other suspects as his accomplices in the robbery.

Baylis was arrested Thursday. Warnell is still at large.

Atkins, 21, is charged with robbery by threats, impersonating a peace officer and felon in possession. Baylis, 48, is charged with robbery by threats and impersonating a peace officer. Warnell, 25, is charged with robbery by threats and impersonating a peace officer.

Anyone with information about Thomas Warnell's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS or to submit a tip via the iWatchHarrisCounty phone app.
