November 8, 2013: Veterans are in for a whole lot of free eats this weekend with Veterans Day coming up Monday. Amy Davis reports.

Veterans are in for a whole lot of free eats this weekend with Veterans Day coming up Monday.

All active and retired veterans can enjoy a free appetizer at Carrabba's Saturday through Monday.

On Sunday veterans get a free entree at any McCormick & Schmick's.

Veterans Day menu for veterans and active military personnel at Applebee's. Choose from one of seven entrèes.

Veterans and active military personnel can get an all-American burger and waffle fries for free November 11 at Champs Americana.

Veterans and active military get a free entrée November 11 at Chili's Bar & Grill.

Active, inactive, and retired military personnel can enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes November 11 from 6 am - 2 pm at Denny's.

Get a free dinner at Golden Corral  Monday, November 11, from 4 pm - 9 pm for Military Appreciation Monday. This is for military heroes, past and present. No ID required.

Veterans and active military personnel get a free meal up to $10.99, November 11 at Hooter's.  Drink purchase is required.

Menchie's is giving veterans a free 6 oz. cup of frozen yogurt November 11.

Active military and veterans can receive a free entree from a special Veterans Day menu at Oliver Garden  November 11. Available all day, dine-in only. Proof of service is required. All of November, military families can take 10% off their bill.

At On the Border, veterans can get a free meal from the "Create Your Own Combo" menu  with 2 or 3 items.

Outback Steakhouse is giving military members a free Bloomin' Onion appetizer and beverage  November 11. The restaurant also is giving a military discount worth 10% off the total bill from November 12 - December 31, 2013.

At Pappasito's active duty military and veterans can get a free appetizer November 11 with purchase of an entrée.

Order a Spaghetti entree at the Spaghetti Warehouse (including Original Recipe Spaghetti or Incredible 15-Layer Lasagna) and receive a second one for free. The Italian eatery is encouraging folks to take a veteran to lunch or dinner for free. Download the coupon from the Spaghetti Warehouse Facebook page or show a mobile version on your phone November 10th or 11th.

Texas Roadhouse is opening for lunch Monday, November 11, just to provide free meals to veterans, retired, and active military. You'll get a free meal, including a drink.

Active and retired military can enjoy a free meal November 11 from Wing Stop. They'll get a 6-piece boneless wing combo or 3-piece chicken strip combo including fries and drink. This offer is valid at 9 participating Houston locations: North Freeway, N. Shepherd, Veterans Memorial, 1st Street W, Blalock, Antoine, Richmond and Aldine Mail Road, and Woodlands Parkway.

Bubbles Car Wash is treating all active military and veterans to a free Express Car Wash on November 11th.

Active and retired military can get a free haircut November 11 at any Great Clips location.

Veterans and active duty military personnel can ride the Hermann Park Railroad for free Monday, November 11. Hours are between 10 am - 4:30 pm.

Military ID required is required for all of the free meals, unless stated otherwise.

The Houston Galleria kicks off the holidays Saturday at 6pm with its 25th Annual Ice Spectacular show and lighting of the tree.

Saturday morning from 9 to noon kids 2 to 10 are invited for Reindeer Games at Willowbrook Mall.  Storytime with Santa is at 9:30am. The first 250 kids get a free Rudolph ornament.

Think it's too early for Christmas? Then take the kids to the Old-fashioned Art Fair at Foelber Pottery at 706 Richmond Avenue Saturday for hands-on activities and pottery demonstrations.

Wake up for free yoga at Discovery Green at 9am Saturday morning.

If yoga is too tame for your tastes, you can try the 10:30am Sunday Discovery Hoop Dance Class at Discovery Green.
