Texas Gov. Rick Perry has been indicted on two felony charges relating to abuse of power. Perry and many of his supports say it is nothing more than politics at its worst and that he will be vindicated.
Paul Simpson, chair of the Harris County Republican Party is a guest on Houston Newsmakers this week.
“Democrats are doing everything they can to attack Rick Perry, acting like a wounded animal to criminalize political disagreements," he said.
Lane Lewis, the chair of the Harris County Democratic Party says it's not political.
“Let's not forget it was a Republican judge who appointed a Republican special prosecutor that got this ball rolling,” he said.
Look forward to an animated discussion about Perry, and other political topics of interest.
Also on this week's program Houston Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Terry Grier as he prepares to see his district open the school year Monday Aug. 25. Grier speaks about the most important advice for any parent or child starting the school year, the progress HISD has made in recent years and areas needing the most improvement including possible cheating.
Great information on two important areas on Houston Newsmakers Sunday at 10 a.m. right after Meet the Press.
