Many celebrities have served in the U.S. military. Take a look at who served in what branch.

If you don’t have a yard or home equipped with flying the American flag outdoors, and you still want to display the Stars and Stripes, it’s possible to hang the flag indoors. When hanging the flag indoors, be sure to follow proper etiquette.

The American flag should be displayed in a place of honor. If you’re hanging it near a speaker or display, the flag should be placed on the right.

If you are displaying other flags – such as a state flag -- as well, the American flag should be at the center and higher than the other flags.

When hanging the flag on a wall, the stars should be at the top, to the flag’s right and the viewer’s left.

Following these steps will ensure that you are using proper flag etiquette when displaying the American flag.
