HOUSTON -

A woman traveling from Guatemala to Washington, D.C. is arrested after customs agents at Bush IAH airport reported finding more than a kilo of cocaine hidden in a block of hard candy.

According to an affidavit filed in Houston federal court, agents found the stash after an X-Ray machine detected an "anomaly" in Randar Stefany Mateo-Valdez's suitcase.

Agents write Mateo-Valdez said she was returning from a trip to visit her husband and while in Guatemala a man by the name of "Tigre" gave her husband the block to give to her. Court records state Mateo-Valdez said she was to take the block to a man named "El Pelon" in Maryland.
